Quality Assurance Data Warehouse Analyst

One of our Birmingham based clients is seeking a Quality Assurance (Data Warehouse) Analyst to join their growing team. You will be working alongside the software development team to re-platform and modernise their existing legacy product suite.

As the data warehouse quality warehouse you will regularly be required to interact with stakeholders, product owners and developers, to ensure they deliver a quality tested platform for their customers. You will be responsible for ensuring that he data loaded in to the warehouse is accurate and presented correctly before being used by their business intelligence solutions. You will be required to identify potential errors, data quality and accuracy issues, and work with the development team to resolve them.

Quality Assurance Data Warehouse Analyst duties will include, but not limited to:

*Planning, executing, and documenting the testing of their software suite

*Working closely with the development team as part of the SCRUM team, to test user stories as they are being developed

*Collaborating with product owners to understand requirements, to define test cases and suggest conditions of acceptance

*Identify data quality issues

*Providing quality assurance oversight of data flows and stores

*Update the bank of regression scripts on a continuous basis

*Assisting with planning the regression testing activities in preparation for the release

*Testing BI reports

*Log and help prioritise defects within Azure DevOps, ensuring details are documented

As the Quality Assurance Data Warehouse Analyst you will be required to possess:

*A strong background in functional testing

*Experience designing and developing a test strategy and test cases for a data warehouse/ETL function

*Able to review technical requirements with data warehouse and business intelligence terminology to produce test strategies, test scenarios and test cases

*Proven experience in the whole testing life cycle including knowledge of various test methodologies, definition of test plans and test scripts, test execution and raising defects

*Possess at least 1 years experience in data warehousing testing projects

*Strong experience with SQL and database systems

*Experience with creating and executing database queries to support testing (SQL and MongoDB)

*Worked within a SCRUM environment previously ISTQB-BCS certified
