If you really want to make your mark in a rapidly growing business that is committed to improving the lives of children and young people, we have the role for you!

We're looking for a Project Manager to join our busy IT Team in Bolton to successfully plan and deliver multiple projects across the NFA Group.  About the Group

The National Fostering Agency (NFA) Group is the largest independent provider of high-quality foster care, special needs education and residential care.

Our vision is to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK to be happy and to make their way in the world. Every day we improve the lives of thousands of young people, their families and communities through a relentless focus on caring and learning.

 About the Role

The IT Project Manager will work with operational colleagues in the creation of business cases for projects, and develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress. For each project you will bring your ideas and experience to help shape the scope, schedule and budget and then relentlessly drive delivery.  You will work closely with IT colleagues, staff from across our businesses and a range of IT suppliers to establish virtual project teams that collaborate effectively in the delivery of project objectives. . You will also support & advise IT colleagues who are themselves running small projects.

Reporting to the IT Director, you will need a flexible approach to developing ideas and solutions using the most appropriate tools for the job. Equally critical will be the ability to create strong project teams from staff distributed across the country, all of whom will have other commitments.

What might you be working on?

This is an exciting time to join our IT team due to our continued growth. The IT Project Manager will lead and manage a varied portfolio of projects, both applications-based (e.g. extended our digital platform for foster carers) and infrastructure-based (e.g. network integration).

 Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or have an equivalent IT qualification. A strong track record of successfully delivering IT projects across a multi-site business is essential. You should have the ability to prioritise and multi task in a fast paced working environment with excellent organisational skills.
