Are you a technically-minded individual with a passion for IT? Want to take on a highly-rewarding contract with one of the leading charities in the UK? If so, this is the role for you.

Our client is an innovative charity that focuses on inspiring people to give the gift of voluntary service to support the NHS and older people at home and in the community. They are now looking for a Technical Support Officer to join their team in Cardiff on a contract until the 2nd March 2020.

Within a culture of support and respect, you will have the chance to undertake great training and play an integral role in enabling the day-to-day running of the charity.

As a Technical Support Officer, you will provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to end-users in both a remote and face-to-face capacity.

Taking ownership of incidents, service requests and resolutions, you will support and manage networked devices and our client's connected infrastructure.

You will escalate incidents to 3rd line support as required and work within an ITIL framework, work with hardware and software applications, and support telephony as needed.

As part of your role, you will be required to travel to our client's other facilities and provide technical support. As such, a driving licence and the flexibility to travel will be prerequisite.

To be considered, you will need:

- Experience of working within a fast-paced organisation, supporting a busy team and managing a varied workload
- Strong customer service skills

The ideal Technical Support Officer will have previous technical support experience, as would an understanding of PC hardware set-up and configuration. Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems would also be an advantage, as would exposure to ITIL and general awareness of IT best practice.

An understanding of the general issues involved with administering and maintaining corporate infrastructure, including network connectivity, Internet access and email would also be beneficial.

This is a full time role, working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
