Backend Developer (Scala Java AWS RabbitMQ). Are you a talented Backend Developer who would like to work within a hugely successful global media company based in a scenic area of South / West London with plenty of shops, restaurants and bars nearby?

As a Backend Developer you will be working on Greenfield development projects for the company's sports data and live streaming platform; ensuring it is able to distribute low-latency, highly reliable sports data for a global user base. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will be exposed to a large and modern technology stack that includes Scala, Java 8, Kafka and RabbitMQ.

With offices based in South / West London (easily commutable from areas such as Richmond and Barnes), you will be joining a friendly and technology driven company that will provide continuous support to help you progress within your career.

Requirements:

Scala development experience (can be non-commercial but must be happy using Scala going forward)

Strong knowledge of core Java (including Java 8)

Good knowledge of software architecture

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Excellent communication and collaboration skills
