GIS Developer

My client is looking for an open source GIS developer with experience of JTS, PostGres/PostgIS, OpenLayers, Angular, GeoServer and Linux

* Experience with geospatial datasets (vector & raster file formats) and projection systems;

o Knowledge of Ordnance Survey datasets.

* Experience working with Opensource GIS solutions (QGIS, GeoServer, GDAL) at an advanced level;

o Experience designing and tuning map services (WMS/WFS).

* Experienced in data management/database design;

* Experience with enterprise databases (SQL, Postgres, Oracle);

* Experience programming with Python & JavaScript;

o Knowledge of unit testing

* Experience working with Web APIs (REST, XML, JSON, etc);

* Experience working in an Agile manner within a GIT/SVN environment;

Desirable

o Experience working with microservices architecture;

o Experience working with containers (Docker);

o Experience working in a Linux environment & shell scripting;

o Experience developing web applications with Angular;

o Experience with ESRI ArcGIS applications (desktop & server);

o Experience with Safe FME;

o Knowledge of service development (Java, ASP);

o Knowledge of system architecture design.
