Network Engineer - Netscaler / Palo Alto

Spring Technology is currently looking for an experienced Network Engineer. This is a 3 Month contract based in Birmingham.

We are looking for a Network Specialist to deliver technical solutions across multiple disciplines, contributing to and aligning with architectural strategy to deliver to project or programme timescales.

You will be accountable for the design, build and implementation of technical solutions to meet Business requirements and IT Infrastructure roadmaps.

Ensure compliance with policies, processes and standards and delivery is to the desired timescales.

Manage the key stakeholder expectations by owning the risks and issues associated with their projects, ensuring these are reported and resolved in a timely manner.

Provide guidance, support and training to less experienced members of the team and provide out of hours support as required to meet operational IT needs.

Key Skills:

* Cisco core networking

* Netscaler

* Palo Alto

* Gamma Horizon (cloud based telephony system) - having this experience will be difficult but great to get !

* The environment mostly comprises: Juniper, Netscaler Load Balancers, Squid proxies, ISA proxy, Cisco BGP routing, ASA firewalls, Bluecoat DNS , entire MS stack

* Activities are in summary to keep it live and include: certificate management, documentation, daily checks, config changes, scripting and log management

* Some out of hours working required on an as needs basis

* Vmware estate

* Microsoft Windows Servers

* Azure

* Netscaler Gateway VPN and Load Balancing

* HP Left hand Storage

* Microsoft StoreSimple

* TMG

* HP Data Protector Backup

* DNS, DHCP, Bluecat DNS

* File shares,

* Palo Alto Firewall

* 123 Reg Domains

* Active Directory

* Datacentre Maintenance
