Security Engineer - Belgium - 3-6 Month Contract My Client, a global telecommunication company are looking for a Security Engineer to assist in a project with their deployment team in Belgium. The role is initial 3-6 months and can offer a competitive daily rate. Role Background:Experience with configuring or managing multiple 3rd party security and network productsKnowledgeable about security logs, data collection and SIEM productsExperience with (managed) security services and cloud environments

Essential Experience / Skills:Investigating how certain log sources can send data to our SIEM platformEngineering and documenting the solution for the development teamInteract with the development team and follow-up on new software buildsInteraction with technical presales to discuss customer log source requirementsValidation and approval of new log sources to become supportedWork side by side with our deployment team to make sure the customer implementation is following the standards you have definedHave meetings with the bigger customers to discuss their requirementsMaster or Bachelor degree in Information Security and/ or relevant work experience with 3rd party security products.3+ years of experience with 3rd party security products.Experience with designing and deploying security servicesExperience with various network and network security technologies from different vendors like Cisco, Checkpoint, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet and F5.Must have an extended knowledge and strong experience in networking with all its aspects like switching, routing, NAT, packet filtering and so forth.Must have a lot of experience in network security concepts like packet inspection. Basically be aware of all security technologies that can be implemented from the network to the application layer and have experience implementing them.Is interested in following all security market trends and new technologies.Is willing to continuously learn no technologies and advance professionally.Can write solid documentationLikes to work in a global team.Strong ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Must have the necessary communications and interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively with peers, management, staff, and internal/external business partners/clients.
