IT / Technology Project Manager known within the organisation as a ‘Project Manager (Infrastructure Transformation)' with proven experience of successful IT project management, and delivery of IT projects in a multi-location and geographically dispersed organisation, is required by this well-established Charity.
SALARY: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum

JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an IT / Technology Project Manager known within the organisation as a ‘Project Manager (Infrastructure Transformation)' with proven experience of successful IT project management, and delivery of IT projects in a multi-location and geographically dispersed organisation.
Working as the IT / Technology Project Manager your focus will be to manage, lead and co-ordinate the complex technical IT change projects which support the digital and infrastructure transformation within the organisation.
As the IT / Technology Project Manager, you will work within the Programme Management Office which consists of project office staff, programme and project managers. There are a huge range of projects across all areas of the charity, from small team changes to multi-year projects with over £500k, which are centrally supported and governed by the PMO.

DUTIES
Your duties and responsibilities as the IT / Technology Project Manager:
Support the ongoing review and continuous improvement of the Charity's approach to project management (templates & processes)
Share professional expertise, modelling and sharing best practice in project management methodology i.e. Case Studies, coaching sessions etc.
Responsible for day to day management of individual projects and associated workstreams as allocated, following agreed PMO framework (policies and procedures) from initiation through to closure and benefits realisation with the tolerance levels set by the Project Board
Develop and maintain:
Project Definition Document and Project Plan;
Activity Log (covering Actions, Decisions, Risks, Issues, Lessons and Change Requests);
Project RACI etc.
Support the Finance Business Partner to create and monitor the project budget and ensure a robust resource plan for the project is created and resource utilization accurately tracked and reported
Provide regular updates on project performance (time, cost and quality) to the Project Board in the form of monthly Update Reports
Support the Project Exec establish and service the Project Board, ensuring they are provided with accurate and timely information that supports appropriate decision making
Lead and manage technical project teams, creating required work packages and monitoring agreed outputs to ensure time, costs and quality requirements are met. Supporting internal and external partner resources to coordinate and successfully deliver high visibility transformation work packages
Working with the internal senior supplier, ensure relationships with any external suppliers are effectively managed and outputs meet the needs of the project
Working with the Project Exec to identify and manage cross directorate project stakeholders and create the Communications Plan that supports effective engagement
Work with the workstream leads to develop the roll out plan and undertake all the co-ordination tasks required to ensure that the plan is executed effectively
Regular travel to other sites nationally will be required

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Essential
Confident communicator and presenter
Highly organised, able to prioritise tasks
Successful IT project management of internal technical change projects; benefits realisation & closure
Delivery of IT projects in a multi-location and geographically dispersed organisation of a similar size
High level of literacy in Microsoft Office including MS Project
Understanding of IT technical related subjects i.e. network, infrastructure
Degree educated or equivalent experience in delivering IT Technical projects
Prince2 Practitioner or equivalent professional qualification i.e. Agile, ITIL etc.
Willingness to travel to other sites nationally
Desirable
Leadership of non-direct reports
People management and coaching skills
Experience of working in a not-for-profit organisation
Creation of project templates or resources
Previous thin client rollout project management experience
Previous Windows 10 deployment project management experience
Delivering network and infrastructure change projects
Tertiary IT related qualifications
