Application Support Analyst

One of our logistics clients is seeking an Application Support Analyst to join their team in Leicestershire. You will be responsible for providing technical support for automated software systems and equipment. You will be required to perform complex troubleshooting and problem solving.

This role does operate on a shift based rota which ALL candidates who apply must be able to work to. This will include weekends and holiday work; however you will be rewarded for this with a 25% shift allowance.

Application Support Analyst duties will include, but not limited to:

*Identifying and resolving any issues with internal systems

*Monitoring and troubleshooting server availability and updating software as required

*Analysing systems daily operation reports, using these to track and identify any opportunities for continuing improvement of the systems

*Designing test scenarios to identify any system issues

*Creating documentation and training materials for system users

*Assisting the software development team with any projects as required

*Undertake shift work, providing 24/7 coverage

As the Application Support Analyst you will be required to possess:

*Have previous experience providing application support

*Experience with Java or other object-oriented programming languages

*Previous experience with SQL Databases

*Ability to read, analyse and interpret technical journals

*Able to write technical user and procedure manuals

*Previous experience writing reports

*Able to respond to details inquiries and/or complaints from internal/external customers

With a salary on offer of up to £35,000, rising to up to £38,000 upon successfully completing your probation + 25% shift allowance, this is an excellent opportunity to join an established and global organisation.
