Due to internal promotion, the company are looking for a Quality Assurance and Control Technician to join them and help to ensure that manufacturing operations meet quality standards.

The Role

As a Quality Assurance and Control Technician, you'll help to ensure the overall quality of flawed test specifications produced at the company.  

Joining a small team and working within a workshop environment, you will:

- Test materials before, during and after production to ensure they conform to specifications
- Work in-line with the QA system, which is based on ISO 9001:2015
- Take part in some inspection activities
- Keep accurate records
- Highlight any issues to the QA/QC Manager

About You


To be considered as a Quality Assurance and Control Technician, you'll need:

- An interest in quality assurance and the engineering sector with either a degree or experience in engineering, quality or business
- An understanding of health and safety procedures
- Proficiency in using PCs and associated networks and systems (such as MS Office) to acquire, manipulate and disseminate information
- To be a confident communicator who can be assertive when needed
- Excellent attention to detail with business, admin and customer service skills

Although not essential, experience of maintaining quality assurance and quality control processes, ideally in an engineering or manufacturing discipline would be beneficial to your application. An understanding of AutoCAD would also be advantageous, as would a working knowledge of associated programs.

Knowledge of the application of relevant quality systems and standards including European Standards and ISO would be an advantage, as would experience of working with quality management systems. Knowledge of welding techniques and processes, and experience of checking and compiling reports, would be equally favourable.

The company would also be interested in hearing from those who have worked in a quality role outside the engineering sector or as an Operations Administrator who would like to become a Quality Assurance and Control Technician, QA Technician, QC Technician, Quality Assurance Officer, Quality Control Officer, Quality Assurance Technician or Quality Control Technician.
