The role We are looking for someone with strong Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Linux skills to join a close-knit team that understand the ability of infrastructure-as-code and containerisation to transform how workloads are run and managed in the modern cloud-native era.You will be supported in this role by our Technical Team Lead, as well as by our CEO/CTO. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with our NOC and Support Team in the Philippines. ResponsibilitiesCloud-native solutions architecture and pre-sales;Solution deployment and delivery;Providing client advice and support via email, phone, video, instant messenger and in person;Help keep services up and running smoothly at all times, liaising with our Philippines NOC & support team;Responsible for a mix of client project work and system design. This may be quite varied and you will be able to get involved building infrastructure on AWS and Azure, as well as on our private Joyent Triton/SmartOS cloud;Onboarding customers and actively working on solutions to make the process easier;Writing and updating documentation;Internal project work, tooling, process improvement;Product development;Share customer insights and feedback with the rest of the team.A minimum of 20% of your time will be free for training and lab work. Requirements:AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer, ideally at the Professional level, or be on track to complete this;An infrastructure-as-code oriented mindset, with working knowledge of Terraform and/or CloudFormation;A container-oriented mindset, with working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes;Knowledge of cloud fundamentals including storage (e.g. S3/EBS/EFS), networking (VPC, ALB/ELB, etc), databases (RDS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, DocumentDB, etc)Knowledge of Linux operating systemsExperience of configuration management tools, such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet;Knowledge of CI/CD tooling, such as Jenkins and Code-Deploy;Experience of centralised monitoring, logging and compliance automation; Desirable: Familiarity with modern project management frameworks such as Agile or DSDM;Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes in production;Experience using Terraform in production;Experience in an ISO 27001-compliant environment;Experience in a customer support facing role; BenefitsCompetitive salaries; employee bonuses & employee loan schemes;Flexible working times and remote work options;Extra holiday for the Christmas period plus an extra day for every year you're with us;Bupa health and dental care for individuals;Regular manager support with monthly 121s;A beautiful bright, purpose designed office in the Old Street/Shoreditch area;Bike rack & shower facilities;Opportunity to develop any product ideas and business improvements;Regular team social events, tea, coffee and beer in the office.
