Joining the Government Project Delivery Profession, you'll be part of a flourishing network of project delivery professionals - an innovative, vibrant community of trusted experts. Working across government departments and organisational boundaries to help tackle the biggest issues of the day, you'll drive change within your sector and deliver real results for the people of the UK.

Depending on which is the best match with your skills and experience, you'll be based in one of the four following government departments:

Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA): impacting people's day-to-day lives for the better, from the food we eat, the air we breathe, and the water we drink.

Department for Exiting the European Union (DExEU): committed to delivering the UK's exit from the EU and building a successful future for our country, researching and developing policy and legislation to answer the biggest questions in government.

Ministry of Defence (MoD): developing, protecting our country to help guarantee its security and independence, as well as protecting our values and interests abroad.

Ministry of Justice (MoJ): working to deliver a world-class justice system that works for everyone in society.

Wherever you're based you'll build a diverse and rewarding career, working on a range of absorbing and nationally important projects. You'll be involved in some of the most fascinating initiatives in government, so you'll need to demonstrate that you can play a key role in delivering large, complex and challenging projects. You must be resilient and pragmatic in the face of uncertainty and changing priorities. And you should be confident in managing risks and multiple stakeholder relationships, as well as your team and the project itself.

With significant experience of delivering within agreed time, cost and quality constraints, you'll bring a sound understanding of project management tools and methodologies, with experience of applying them in practice.
