Senior Product Development Engineer Liverpool £45k Huxley Engineering and one of Europe's largest names in Engineered Solutions for Renewables, Oil and Gas Industries are looking to recruit a Senior Product Development Engineer on a permanent basis, due to succession planning, investment and expansion within the business. Based near the Liverpool (Merseyside) area and reporting to the Innovation and Technology Innovation Manager, you, as Senior Product Development Engineer will be working on the leading edge of technology within a Research and Development Department, redesigning current and new products primarily focused on the Marine, Oil & Gas & Renewable Industries.Main Duties of Senior Product Development Engineer: Conducting engineering research and product developmentGenerating & proving new product concepts in 3D CAD, FEA & CFD for current & new market demandsConducting scientific research, including patent and journal interpretationApplying commercial acumen to the current product portfolio, to determine the optimum improvement strategy and roll out planConducting competitor analysis to keep abreast of market changesManaging and constructing product qualification programmes as requiredValidating concepts from first principles and FE analysisLiaising with material science to verify material suitabilityProducing engineering drawings for prototype manufactureEffectively leading medium to large improvement projectsWriting, interpreting and designing from specificationMonitoring and controlling prototype manufactureExperience Required for Senior Product Development Engineer Role: Educated to Degree Level in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Offshore Engineering or Marine Engineering.Hold Chartered Status or working towards Chartered Engineer status.Prior Senior Product Development Engineer experience in designing & developing products from concept.Experience of Technical & Commercial Project Management Re NPD & working on multiple projects at any one time.Working with 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD), such as Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks, ProEngineer etcExperience of FEA, CFD & Mechanical Calculations (ANSYS Mechanical) - Mechanics, Materials, Structural, Fatigue, Thermal & Stress Analysis and Fluid DynamicsSignificant experience of providing technical expertise to businesses with a customer interface.For the successful Senior Product Development Engineer, a salary up to £45,000 is on offer plus package and this Senior Product Development Engineer role is commutable from Liverpool, Preston, Southport, Ormskirk, Bolton, Prescot, Manchester Warrington, Runcorn, Wigan and Salford.To be considered for this Senior Product Development Engineer role, please apply via the link below.
