Junior Software Developer / Graduate Java Developer (Java 8 Oracle Scala). Hugely successful and growing commodities trading firm is seeking a bright, ambitious Junior Software Developer with good Java skills. Joining an Agile development team that cares about code quality you will design and develop highly complex web based trading platforms; implementing new features and getting them into production quickly. You'll make improvements to the trading robots and build back office tools to aid the operation of exchanges and make changes to the underlying accounting systems.

The technology stack includes Java 8, Scala, Spring, Tomcat, Oracle and Linux. You'll be using the latest technologies and choosing the best tool for the job in a technology driven environment.

Offices based in West London with a friendly and informal "start-up atmosphere". Excellent opportunity to receive mentoring from a very talented team and advance your career.

Requirements:

Excellent record of academic achievement, must have 2.1 degree in a technical or scientific discipline, backed by A's at A-level

Commercial software development experience with Java

Good knowledge of databases (Oracle preferred)

Familiar with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and / or Scala

Excellent communication skills, collaborative team member with the aptitude to learn
