Data Assistant - GIS (Part Time, Contract)

We're currently looking for a Data Assistant to join our Natural Environment & Rural Economy Team on a part time basis, working three days per week. This is a fixed-term contract, working until the 31st March 2020.

The Role 

As a Data Assistant, you will collect and process ecological data using GIS. 

In this key role, you will: 

- Ensure data is accurate, up-to-date and stored in-line with procedures 
- Summarise or transcribe data 
- Prepare data for analysis and record any issues 

About You 

To join us as a Data Assistant, you'll need: 

- Experience of working with GIS and excellent IT skills, including processing data in MS Office 
- Good numeracy and literacy skills 
- A fantastic eye for detail and the ability to work with a high level of accuracy 
- The ability to work well in a team in a busy office environment 

A conservation or ecological background would be beneficial to your application.

This is a part time role, working three days per week. These days will be agreed with the successful candidate at offer stage.
