IT Support Technician (Junior) 2nd line Overview

Our client, a leading international information and communication technology provider is looking for a IT Support Technician to join their subsidiary, ACT who are a proven leader in the design, build and management of smart transaction systems. You will be developing the back office systems that underpin smart transaction systems in our bespoke products. You will be involved in development of new features, enhancements to existing functionality, defect investigation/resolution and design documentation.

Key AccountabilitiesManage user tickets regarding hardware, software and networkingWalk customers through installing applications and computer peripheralsConduct remote troubleshooting where necessaryManage end user hardware estate ensuring assets are tracked and accounted forDirect unresolved issues to the next level of support personnelHelp create technical documentation and manualsDeploy and track software in use across the environmentEnsure software in use is authorised, correctly licenced and supportedEnsure OS and software patches are deployed and tracked in a timely mannerEnsure backups are completed successfully and tested regularlyAdhere to standard processes in accordance with Cyber Essentials and ISO standardsMonitor and respond to audit reports generated from internal solutionsPerform tasks to setup and on-board new users processComplete the leaver process to revoke access when users leave the organisation Key Performance Indicators Previous work experience as a Desktop Support Engineer or similar roleHands-on experience with Windows/Mac OS/Linux environmentsWorking knowledge of Active Directory and Office 365Experience of Solarwinds and SCCM would be beneficialWorking knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals, like printers and scanners and WiFiKnowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programsAbility to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructionsExcellent problem-solving and multitasking skillsCustomer-oriented attitude IT Support Technician (Junior) IT Support Technician (Junior) 2nd Line
