Infrastructure / Active Directory / Test Analyst / Glasgow / Contract / 6 months

Contract Length - 6 months

Location - Glasgow, Scotland

Day rate - £400 - £450

Start date - ASAP

The Infrastructure Test Analysts will apply ISTQB/Agile testing methodologies as well as implementing industry-leading test tools to test technologies within a Windows-based environment and Cloud based platforms such as AWS and Azure

The project is to work on both hardware and software infrastructure solutions to support the transition to a common base solution, based on Windows 2012 server, User Access Devices (UAD) products and Azure and AWS cloud platforms, whilst ensuring on-going connection and support to "legacy" systems.

This is a multi-phased operation involving the development of many new solutions and the re-implementation of existing products in the environment.

Essential skills:

* Strong AD installation, monitoring & troubleshooting skills

* Strong Windows XP/7/10 Testing or Support knowledge

* Hardware - peripherals and basic internal installations

* Microsoft Office Testing or Support and Standard Consumer Off the Shelf (COTS) Testing or Support

* Network infrastructure troubleshooting skills

* Experience in hardware/software testing, integration, change management procedures

* Server Virtualisation - ESX or Hyper-V

* Cloud platform Knowledge for AWS and Microsoft Azure.

Desirable Skills:

* Current SC Clearance

* Microsoft Certification (MCSA/MCSE/ MCITP/MCTS)

* ISTQB Certification

* Experience using ALM, SharePoint, StarTeam/AIX/SQL/CITRIX/Sanctuary/Veritas Clustering/McAfee EPO/Netcool/SCCM.

* Experience using GitHub/Jira and automation knowledge
