My client is a British professional services firm that provides engineering consultancy, design, planning, project management, and consulting services for buildings, infrastructure, and the environment/

Due to growth they are currently recruiting a IT Infrastructure and Security Manager to be based in there Bath office

In this unique role, you will be working closely with the Global IT Director and IT Software and Systems Manager to identify areas for improvement in infrastructure and information security disciplines and proactively deliver change to

achieve maturity for the practice.

As part of this challenging role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining an Infrastructure and Security

monitoring and reporting management dashboard (e.g. Network utilisation trends, storage capacity, network performance RAG status). You will also be tasked with designing the global infrastructure and security roadmaps

aligned to business strategy and deliver through functional delivery reams and PMO.

In the post of IT Infrastructure and Security Manager you will be an integral part of the global IT team, being the person

who, in addition to the above;

* Reviews and improves existing systems and processes pertaining to infrastructure and information security

* Ensures infrastructure and information security expenditure is managed in line with central and regional IT budgets

supported by the creation of business cases where investment is required

* Ensures appropriate information security controls are in place and an auditing framework is embedded with suitable

compliance reporting

* Takes ownership and leads the global IT infrastructure team and acts as the IT Leadership team escalation point for

network, infrastructure and information security incidents

* Ensures infrastructure assets are procured, maintained and supported through a strategic global asset management

lifecycle

What do I bring?

* You will be approachable and able to build positive collaborative working relationships

* Ability to guide and influence technical and non-technical stakeholders

* Possess exceptional communication and report writing skills

* Confidence and able to present costed proposals and findings as a business case

* Ability to research technical subject matter and maintain knowledge of emerging trends

* Previous experience in Security and IT auditing standards (e.g. Cyber Essentials Plus, IASME)

* Understanding of Networking and Infrastructure principals

* Working knowledge of Microsoft stack (Active Directory, SCOM, Exchange)

* Experience in vulnerability management (e.g. Phishing, social engineering, malware etc.)

* Knowledge and/or experience in dealing with Rights Management is advantageous

* Tenable Nessus application, MPLS, SD-WAN, and network devices (such as switch, firewalls, proxies, and web

filtering) would be advantageous but not essential
