Service Delivery Lead

Would you like to Support the MOD and Royal Navy by helping to deliver the Combat Systems Trials Programme using Service Management expertise to enable the Operation and Use of the Shared Infrastructure on Type 26 Frigates? We currently have a vacancy for a Service Delivery Lead at our site in Portsdown Technology Park.

As a Service Delivery Lead, you will be providing delivery, change, service asset and configuration management capabilities in support of the Integration Trials Team enabling the Land Based Integration Facility (LBIF) Service to operate at the required functional state.

The Land Based Integration facility (LBIF) will deliver functional integration, performance de-risking and nominated formal assurance and acceptance activities and is based at Portsdown Technology Park near Portsmouth. This role will focus on the Type 26 Frigate integrating and testing of the Local infrastructure and systems that have been created.

This role will be based at Portsdown Technology Park - However, travel will be required to our Scotstoun & Filton sites, on board ships and suppliers premises as necessary.

 

Your main responsibilities as a Service Delivery Lead will involve:

Delivering the LBIF local Service Desk, that will include processing and implementation of Requests for Change, Service Requests, Incident and Service Improvement Reports.

Acting as the Process Owner for the relevant processes within the Service Management regime.

Providing the current LBIF Build State and update of the LBIF Configuration Management Database.

Maintaining the Definitive Media Library and its artefacts.

 

Your skills and qualifications: Essential:

In depth knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)® based service management at ITIL Expert level or working towards it.

Extensive service management experience in a fast paced, operationally intensive, networked environment operating under an ITIL based regime

Knowledge of ITIL based Service Management (SM) toolsets, ideally including JIRA Service Desk, BMC Remedy

Desirable:

Background in military or Civil Service role with defence experience
