Architect/SurveyorArchitect/Surveyor urgently required to work on a contract basis for a leading global energy trading company in London - initial contract length is 6 months.You will be responsible for the understanding, management and implementation of Maritime Assurance Standards in support of group requirements for shipping businesses for Oil & Chemicals, Liquefied Natural Gas activities and Liquefied Petroleum Gas activities. You will also be responsible for structural assessment of every vessel and business proposals based on class reports and available information from the ship's operators.The ideal candidate must have at lease 10 years of combined experience as a ship surveyor of vessels in operation, shipyard repair and/or ship management experience. Experience in the survey of Oil Tankers, LPG, LNG and Chemical Ships is also desired. Knowledge in vetting and structural reviews is a distinct advantage. Ability to communicate effectively and innovate approach to solving problems is essential.Skills:

Knowledge of international legislation (MARPOL, SOLAS, ISM)

Knowledge of industry standards, codes and guidelines (ISGOTT, ICS, IBC)
