Risk Management Lead

One of our London based Public Sector clients is seeking a Risk Management Lead to join their team. You will be responsible for leading the risk management process within the organisation, and provide strategic advice and support on departmental and strategic risks to both internal and governing bodies.

The Risk Management Lead duties will include, but not limited to:

*Ensuring that the business risk is managed effectively within the organisation, by defining and leading the process by which business risks are identified, assessed, prioritised and mitigated

*Providing strategic advice to senior leaders on the management of risk through strategic and functional risk registers

*Embedding risk considerations into a strategic decision making plan, to ensure that the chief officer can make a more informed decision

*Undertaking reviews of the risk management methodology and processes across the business

*Making recommendations for improvement and ensure that examples of good practice are shared across the organisation

*Liaising with the Audit and Inspectorate Lead to contribute to the annual audit and assurance plan

As the Risk Management Lead you will be required to possess:

*Experience having embedded a risk management framework within an organisation

*Strong experience having worked closely with business directors

*Excellent analytical skills

*Strong background working within Risk Management

*Professional Risk Management Qualification or a member of the Institute of Risk Management

*Previous experience with auditing and reporting procedures

*Good knowledge of assurance and risk management frameworks

*Experience using data analytics and tools to provide insight and support assurance activities
