Our client's ICT function has implemented a partnering strategy to deliver its services by outsourcing a number of activities, specifically around technical support and operations. Our client retains the overall management and accountability for their ICT services and works collaboratively with its partners to deliver as a single ICT team to the business.

 

The outsourcing strategy is driven by value for money, skills and know-how to deliver excellent user experience and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

 

Purpose of the Role

 

The PMO Co-ordinator is to provide Project Management Office (PMO) support to the ICT Project Delivery team, utilising the tools, processes and systems available. PMO support will be provided to the overall portfolio and may also be for specific projects.

 

Portfolio support will be provided to monitor the status of the portfolio of projects, including the monitoring of milestones, resource, budget and monitoring of actuals against plans. They will also monitor compliance of project delivery processes against the agreed processes, ensuring that the project delivery team understand what is required for their projects to be delivered in line with company processes.

 

PMO support to specific projects will be to support the project manager with tasks such as arranging project meetings and workshops, taking and following up on actions, providing project communications and other workstream or tracking activities as needed.

 

Requirements of the Role

 

The ICT Project Delivery team has aligned key skills required for this role to the industry standard Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA) V7. Candidates should also be competent in all skill levels lower than the ones defined for this role.

 

Business Strategy & Planning: Financial Management: SFIA Code KNOW: SFIA Level 4

 

Business Strategy & Planning: Knowledge Management: SFIA Code KNOW: SFIA Level 3 & 4

 

Technical Strategy & Planning: Methods and Tools: SFIA Code METL: SFIA Level 5

 

Business Change Implementation: Portfolio, Programme & Project Support: SFIA PROF: SFIA Level 4, 5

 

Stakeholder Management: Relationship Management: SFIA Code RLMT; SFIA Level 4

 

Skills, knowledge and experience

 

The PMO Co-ordinator should have:

 

- Self-motivated, with successful track record of delivering management reports to an agreed timetable

- Understanding and experience Office 365 and SharePoint

- Knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projects

- Knowledge of project management methods including MSP and PRINCE2

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to manage own time and obtain information from the project team

 

Qualifications

 

- University degree qualified or relevant work experience

- Relevant PMO or project management accreditations e.g. P3O, Prince2, Agile

- ITIL qualification, foundation
