This is a Permanent role with an Electronics company.


Responsibilities: To produce complex multi-layered PCB designs using CAD tools for aircraft control systems.To perform validation and verification activities on completed PCB layouts e.g. layer stack analysis and isolation checks.Ensure engineering activity is carried out in accordance with engineering proceduresPrepare analysis reports where required for internal and external useTo prepare presentations as requiredTo work closely with the circuit-designers and seek assistance with the more technical issues.
Requirements

Essential Familiarity with PCB layout design using CAD tools e.g. Altium Designer.Expertise designing complex multilayer (e.g. 10+ layers), rigid and flexi-rigid, surface mount, high-speed impedance matched PCB layouts.Understanding of IPC standards.Familiarity with design documentation (drawings, reports etc.) and configuration control.Capable of producing assembly drawings and items lists.Familiarity with PCB EMC techniques (coupling, shielding, filtering etc.).Good communication skills both verbally and in writingWorks effectively with othersProactively able to manage own work in order to achieve objectivesUses own initiative and makes timely decisions within the scope of the role and has some financial awareness of the consequences of decisionsDemonstrates a "Can do" positive attitude and leads by example
Desirable Familiarity with PCB schematic design using CAD tools e.g. Altium.Knowledge of analogue, digital and power electronics design.Familiar with circuit design and analysis and test techniques for analogue, digital and power electronic circuitryFamiliarity with the aerospace hardware design process (DO254)Familiarity with aerospace environmental issues (DO160)Familiarity with the manufacturing techniques used for aerospace electronicsFamiliarity with PCB validation and verification tools and techniques
