Data Analyst We are actively looking to secure a Data Analyst to join Experis as one of our expert consultants, delivering services to our clients. Your key responsibilities: Working with business departments to understand the issues and data challenges, thereafter ensuring the requirements, specifications and recommendations related to a proposed solution work correctly.Help drive key data architecture decisions by demonstrating an understanding of the underlying data requirements, source systems, platform capabilities and target business areas.Ensuring the design of Data Models and ETL pipelines to meet the business requirements in the most efficient manner.Testing data to validate its structure, consistency to requirements and viability for business useEnsuring that risks and issues are identified in a timely manner and effectively communicate proposed resolution and mitigation strategies to the wider delivery team.Work effectively with members of the team to playback the business challenges and proposed changes to ensure they have a full understanding of the impact and retain a close relationship throughout, to ensure that the requirements are met.Contribute towards defining the analysis best practice and standards and ensure consistency of delivery across the team. Essentials for this role will include: Proven experience of delivery of analysis across large scale data warehousing projects.Demonstrable application of Data Warehousing principles in terms of dimensional modelling and ETL pipeline design.Experience of translating diffuse and complex business requirements into user stories covering functional, non-functional, security and acceptance criteria.Excellent SQL skills enabling large scale data transformation and analysisExperience in developing ETL data transformation code, preferably in GCP data flow, or other leading ETL tools e.g. Informatica/Ab InitioConfident and collaborative team member, working with peers in the development and test team (and beyond) to ensure the requirements are delivered.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and a proven ability to influence technical decisions in a fast-moving commercial environment.Experience in data testing - writing test conditions based on understanding of business and data requirements, creating SQL code to enable repeatability of tests and executing test including the capture of defectsEffective management of multiple priorities and conflicting requests, escalating to senior management where necessary.
