Senior Cyber Security Analyst - London- Permanent Role-UK BasedNew and exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Senior Cyber Security Analyst looking for the next stage in their career.Our client is a global organisation with locations nationwide, looking for a Senior Cyber Security Analyst with a demonstrable interest in IT Security to join their already talented team based in London.The objective of this position is to protect against active threats. To do so, the members of the Global Cyber Defence Centre actively monitor the Global environment and detect and remediate security events. This individual will also proactively hunt threats to this environment.Your responsibilities would include:Providing strategic insight into the projected growth for the Security Division.Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Identify and escalate risks, vulnerabilities, and threatsDevelop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and use cases for monitoring and handling different types of security eventsThreat intelligence gathering to ensure that detection methods are effective against current threatsMonitoring alert queues, responding to security alerts as a Level 2 responderHandling events as part of the Security Incident Management ProcessAct as a Tier 2 triage contact, collecting data and information to inform and advise the Security Incident Response TeamWork with both internal and external partners to investigate, remediate, and clean up after security incidentsPrepare detailed intelligence reports, providing information on findings, status and progress of investigations, as well as vulnerability and risk factorsRequired skills and experience include:Experience of working in a Cyber Security Operations Centre or equivalentWorking on Windows and Linux operating systemsAdvanced networking experience including assessing suspicious network activity Dealing with third parties and instructing them on findingsIncident Management and escalation processEssential: Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience of driving business change and implementing leading best practice proceduresExperience of working as part of a global team, both internally and via 3rd party arrangements Personal Profile:The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in information security and be accustomed to working with people from technical and non-technical backgrounds. The Information Security Manager is looking for someone who can work in partnership with him and represent security in all levels of the business including working with users and senior management and translating risk in meaningful terms.
