You will join the Business Intelligence team, working to translate data into engaging visualisations and interactive reports which get used in decision-making at all levels. We're passionate about continuously developing existing dashboards to meet new business requirements, resolving design issues and reporting risks. You'll support the delivery of actionable customer, competitor, market and operational insights to influence business decisions. We appreciate if you can help challenge our current reporting standards, risks and opportunities. A key part of the role involves fostering relationships across the group to generate and refine data, experiment with new reporting techniques, seek feedback and also educate those you work with around how to use data visualisation for effective decision making.

Salary: £35,694 to £39,660 base salary, plus annual personal bonus %, 13% employer pension contribution, 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance, 28 days holiday plus bank holidays. Who are the Business Intelligence team, Group Analytics plus what is Group Transformation?

Group Transformation is the division you would work within, which is subdivided into the Data and Design function. Within Data & Design sits the Group Analytics (GA) area, which is the hub for analytics and Business Intelligence within the Group. The Business Intelligence (BI) team supports and drives the Group's BI Strategy, we are becoming the BI Centre-of-Excellence, helping the business unlock the potential of data through innovative self-service reporting.

We're doing lots of exciting stuff including building the prime content for a self-service "BI Marketplace" (think Amazon for BI) and the suite of reports for our Executive's nerve centre. We are also creating cutting-edge reporting and visualisation solutions to support our Group strategic programs / initiatives.

What do I need to do this job?

We welcome people from a range of role backgrounds but do need to see the following as a minimum for consideration: 1) skills in self-service report development (Tableau expertise very desirable) and in building high quality report design / visualisations, ideally within a large and complex sized company, 2) You're comfortable sourcing data from strategic sources (data warehouses etc.) and working with large data sets, 3) great interpersonal skills and someone who enjoys working with customers.
