Wintel Infrastructure Engineer - Liverpool - Virtualisation, Citrix, Office365, MS Active Directory

The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the operations and support of secure and highly available computing platforms, servers, and networks.

The Infrastructure Engineer will be required to install, maintain, upgrade, and continuously improve technical operating environment. A key focus of the role is the ongoing reliability, performance and support of the infrastructure. This includes monitoring the operating environ

- Responsible for system maintenance and housekeeping activities i.e backup, password resets etc.

- Design and implement solutions to automate Windows platform and infrastructure management, including integration with external modules/components that comprises the entire technology infrastructure ecosystem.

- Proactively identify and select technology solutions from multiple competing options, perform evaluations and proof-of-concepts, and finally make recommendations to management.

- Ensure consistently high quality of deliverables, adhering to standards in areas of code quality, test coverage, monitoring, logging, exception management, operability, and others

Essential Skills as follows:-

MS Active Directory engineering

Windows Desktop design and build

Enterprise Windows Server engineering, on-prem and cloud.

Office 365 migration and administrative experience.

Automation in infrastructure management (Advanced PowerShell scripting)

Advanced virtualisation/Citrix

Ability to build and operate at least one System Centre platform

5 years+ Windows engineering

5 years+ Active Directory

5 years+ Microsoft Exchange

ITIL-oriented environment

MS Systems Centre
