Project Manager - Digital & Change

Manchester City Centre

£50000 - £60000 per annum

As the Project Manager you will be accountable for the delivery of technical and/or business change projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities and accountabilitys:

* Builds and manages matrix-based delivery teams, ensuring they are motivated, collaborating and working well together

* Identifies project obstacles and uses the team to overcome them

* Focuses the team on what is most important to the delivery of the project whilst managing any associated dependencies across the Change Portfolio

* Applies the most appropriate delivery method (agile, waterfall or hybrid) and collaborative tools and techniques ensuring effective delivery of projects.

* Manages a portfolio of small-medium projects as part of a wider team of project managers actively promoting a mind-set of continuous process improvement in relation to project delivery methods.

Critical knowledge, skills and experience required:

* Planning - Able to take a continuous approach to planning, forecasting, estimating, managing uncertainty, whilst being able to communicate the plan, planning assumptions and progress to a range of stakeholders.

* Ensure Delivery Momentum - Able to solve issues, unblock problems, drive teams and set the pace, ensuring delivery commitments are achieved.

* Strong Communicator of Technical and Non-Technical - Able to communicate effectively across organisational, technical and business boundaries, understanding the context such that an environment of trust and authenticity is created. Can successfully react and respond to challenge

* Commercial Management - Able to support effective budget management within the constraints of the project through continued monitoring of the budget against actual cost incurred.

* Making the Process Work - Focuses on the project outcomes using appropriate project governance and control ensuring an appropriate balance between pace and rigour.
