An excellent opportunity has arisen in central Birmingham for a Network & Cloud (Azure) Operations Engineer to join a fantastic Cloud Services team currently supporting multiple IT Transformation initiatives.This is a hands-on technical role and its main purpose is to build, implement, deploy and support on-premise and cloud hosted (Ms Azure) networking and infrastructure with a focus on expanding physical and virtual network and security support coverage.You will be responsible for 3rd line technical build and support, providing troubleshooting maintenance and support of the Cisco Core switch and HP distribution switches within the infrastructure estate.You will also deploy workloads within Azure and will provide administration of O365 and other SaaS based environments.You will work with vendors and suppliers and will provide technical expertise for project build and implementation as well as working closely with the security teams to help develop traditional and cyber security controls. The successful candidate will have the below mentioned skill/knowledge/experience:EssentialAbility to cross skill and troubleshoot network related issues including routing, switching, firewall and load balancer configurationExperience of Azure networking, VNETs, DNS, DHCP, WAF and firewall configuration and maintenanceStrong analytical and problem-solving skills Collaborative and results oriented approach towards issue resolutionStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build good relationships at all levelsITIL foundation qualification or relevant experienceExperience of public cloud such as Microsoft Azure services and APIsExperience of virtualised platforms (Hyper-V), storage area networks and physical serversExperience of Microsoft Office365 setup, administration and managementExperience of Windows Server (including IIS) Experience in IaaS, PaaS, SaaSCCNA in routing and switching or relevant experienceDesirable Experience of managing Telephony systems, including Cisco Call manager, contact centre telephony systems and reporting tools Working knowledge of MS SharePoint This is a superb opportunity to join a well-respected regulatory company located in the centre of Birmingham, within walking distance of main transport links, offering an excellent benefits package and a friendly & flexible working environment where you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your capabilities and develop your skills & career.Want to know more?
