My client is looking for a Senior Network Security Engineer to act as the SME for the UK business. You will work in conjunction with teams based in the USA supporting the global infrastructure, providing a UK presence for all matters relating to Networking and SecurityYour main duties will include;
Troubleshooting, installing, implementing, and administering network security systems and providing tier III support
Manage, configure, administer, and document firewall infrastructure.
Manage, configure, administer, and document load balancing technologies (F5 or equivalent)
Present the changes made at the weekly change review meetings and update network diagrams and all other applicable documents.
Required Skills;
Hands on expertise supporting Enterprise Network and Cloud environments
Manage, configure, administer, and document firewall infrastructure.
Manage, configure, administer, and document load balancing technologies F5 load balancers (or equivalent)
Advanced skills in TCP/IP concepts, switching, routing protocols Layer 2, Layer 3 protocols
Network protocols (OSPF, BGP, VLAN, VPc, TCP/IP, etc).
Configuration and support Cisco Nexus 3K,5K, or 9K
Desirable skills;
Firewall management and automations
Scripting and network config automations
L1-L7 network device configuration and solution design with high-availability/auto DR
Any relevant industry certifications would be considered a plus - CCNP, CCIE etc
