Multiple roles available so salary is flexibleDue to continued growth I have multiple opportunities to join a lead IT Consultancy to work on critical projects in Bristol. You will get to work with the latest technology and on innovative and challenging projects.
You will join one of the platform teams and need to be fully committed to the mantra "You build it, you run it", incorporating security best practice into every line of code - i.e. the DevSecOps mindset and practice. You will be able to contribute, communicate and maintain a positive attitude to challenges.
You'll help drive continual improvements to our infrastructure-as-code environments by automating services in AWS . You'll also help improve release automation and orchestration, collecting metrics, developing monitoring solutions and carrying out performance tuning.
Your enthusiasm and passion for new technologies will help us find new ways of working, and by utilising the knowledge and skills of the team to decide on architecture you have the space to pitch and implement your ideas.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:In depth knowledge of building and operating immutable infrastructure using AWSTerraformDockerMongoDBConfiguration ManagementWriting code to solve problems (Python, Ruby, Bash)Linux administration, preferably UbuntuDistributed Source Control, preferably git/GitHubKnowledge in various AWS services like Cloudformation, S3, EC2 and IAMBeing comfortable with KanbanEnthusiasm for web technologies, with a good understanding of web security and performance issuesGood communicator, having the soft skills to talk to the business as well as techsSkills that will be beneficial - If you don't have knowledge in these areas you will gain trainingKubernetesAWS LambdaVaultVagrant, Hiera, ElasticSearch, Graphite Analytics and MonitoringThis is an urgent opportunity so please contact Dave Macpherson at Evolution Recruitment if you are keen to discuss further.
