Data Support Engineer London to £45k

Data Support Engineer (SQL Kafka MongoDB Linux Python). Would you like to learn and progress your career at a hugely successful Hedge Fund based in amazing offices?

As a Data Support Engineer you'll join a small collaborative team to support RDBMS database technologies; design, build and maintain tools to automate processes and integrate with monitoring and alert systems.

There's also a variety of project based work; you'll work with software developers to identify and remove bottlenecks, vulnerabilities and single points of failure; get involved with containerisation driven software re-platforming; actively participate in planning meetings and proactively investigate and keep up to date with industry and technical advancements.

Requirements:

Degree educated, Computer Science or similar technical / numeric discipline

Strong understanding of RDBMS technology with good SQL skills

Good understanding of Kafka; MongoDB

Working knowledge of Linux OS, Red Hat preferred

Basic Python programming skills

Collaborative with excellent communication skills

Desire and aptitude to learn
