Software Developer

Description

We are looking for Software Developers to join our IT team working on a variety of system improvements and new solutions for the Corporate Risk & Broking (CRB) business.

As a Software Developer, you will work as part of a close-knit development team following Scrum methodologies to create new product features and enhance existing code, whilst ensuring the product continues to meet high levels of reliability, maintainability, usability and performance. This is an evolving role that will cover a wide range of tasks as outlined below.

The RoleSystems programming using Visual Studio, C#, MS SQL Server, ASP.NET, MVC, JavaScript, and jQueryDevelop code per detailed specifications using specified programming languages, tools, and techniques under the direction of the project manager or team leader.Deliver timely unit-tested high-quality systems that meet specification functionality requirements.Work with team to define detailed specifications for specific functionality requirements.Provide analysis for technical solutions based on functional requirements.Assist in determining requirements for estimating budgets and timelines.Provide consultative services on technical issues to clients and internal project teams.Participate in development of system test plans.Troubleshoot technical issues.Keep abreast of latest developments regarding effective procedures, methods, and tools in software development and testing.Work as a team to produce and deliver high quality results.Deliver on projects in accordance with project plans including budget, timeline, deliverables and quality standards.

Qualifications2+ years software development experienceIndustry experience with full software development lifecycle: requirements capture and analysis, estimation, detailed software design, object-orientated software implementation, unit and system-level testing, installation and deployment,Experience of working in an Agile/Scrum environment,Ability to coordinate day-to-day development and bug fixing activitiesAbility to design high-performance, scalable and extensible software architectures which are also easy to test, debug and maintain,Appreciation of current and emerging technologies along with their potential benefits and limitations,Ability to effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously; strong time management skills.Willingness to work in a fast-paced collaborative team environment that has tight deadlines.Ability to learn and evaluate new tools, concepts, and challenges quickly.Client service focus and flexibility in supporting client requests.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
