A leading engineering firm in the design, build and operation of Data Centres within the UK market is currently seeking a Technical Project Manager to play an integral role in the delivery and continuing operation of new-build and asset infrastructure lifecycle projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business that is growing within the market and provides scope for professional development.Scope of workAs Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery and continuing operations and maintenance of new-build and asset infrastructure projects across two sites, taking each project from concept and design through to engineering, commissioning and operation. From this point, you will also be responsible for the management of the Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule, ensuring all assets are maintained in line with site budgets. This really is a full, project lifecycle role encompassing both construction and operational stages.It is important that in this role as Project Manager, you ensure each new building and data centre meets the quality standards required as they transition from construction into live service. This is critical as you seek to deliver agreed service availability in-line with customer contractual obligations. You will also work closely with the company's incumbent maintenance contractors and third party suppliers, ensuring a fully-managed, costed lifecycle management programme.Working predominantly from their North London facility, the role will involve occasional travel to their Hampshire site as you oversee all technical projects, contributing as the technical authority on all M&E projects in planning and delivery, providing reports to operations in the process. It is important that you're also able to ensure all operational changes are impacted and implemented in accordance with ITIL framework.You will:Have experience in the delivery of technical engineering projects, encompassing heating and cooling applications. This could include various sectors such as Data Centres, Combined Heat & Power and District Heating.Possess a HNC/HND in Mechanical or Electrical engineeringBe able to work from their North London facility, with occasional travel to the Hampshire location as, and when, required.Have a proven record working closely with engineering and operational teams providing technical support in order to deliver projects to plan.
