This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Applications Engineer OR Physical Design engineer looking to get into a customer focused role to join a world leading EDA company. This is an excellent opportunity to work on challenging and complex SoC projects at advanced technology nodes with a major company in the semiconductor domain.This role is located in the South of the UK and in the Berkshire area - close to major motorways and cities but also with an option of quieter villages and more rural views The Application Engineer will provide expert level technical customer support for company products with a focus on Place and Route and Static Timing Analysis.The successful applicant will prioritise these issues taking account of both Customer's & Company needs and develop technical and soft skills in order to be seen as a trusted EDA tool specialist with a deep knowledge in digital IC tools.The candidate should have:Master's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related discipline.7+ years of experience in microelectronics/EDA industry; junior candidates with high potential.Prepared to travel and work at customer sites.A working knowledge of UNIX/Linux, shell and TCL/TK programming/scriptingDeep understanding of digital IC Place and RouteExperience in one and preferably more of the following disciplines:Digital Place and Route at advanced nodesTiming, Logical and Physical Verification (STA, equivalence checking, DRC/LVS)Mixed Signal implementation (basic understanding of Virtuoso)As a global brand you can expect great employee benefits and job satisfaction.For more information please contact Rachel Mason - Digital ASIC Design Recruitment Consultant
