Credit Risk Infrastructure Project Manager - 12 months - Canary Wharf

Global investment bank is looking for a highly experienced Credit Risk Infrastructure Project Manager to lead a very high profile global project to deliver an effective credit risk infrastructure.

This role will be part of the Infrastructure Credit Risk team, reporting to the Global Infrastructure Lead to support the enhancement of the Global Markets credit risk infrastructure.

This is position requires a highly skilled and seasoned professional with a thorough knowledge of credit delivery and monitoring systems as well as very strong project management experience.

This role will also require consistent and effective communication across Global Markets Sales and Trading Desks, Senior Sales and Trading Management as well as senior Risk Managers.

Skills & Experience:

- Undergraduate degree required. Master's degree preferred.

- Experience in delivering large change-related projects

- Strong influence management and relationship skills

- Leadership skills in bringing together processes that include different businesses, regions and support functions.

- Specific subject matter expertise in global markets traded products and associated credit risk standards and monitoring processes.

- Effective negotiation skills, a proactive and "no surprises" approach in communicating issues and strength in sustaining independent reviews.

- Experience in a Markets/ICG control related roles

- Demonstrated strong business maturity in past roles

- Excellent communicator - internal and external

- Global mindset, with regional/product understanding

- Strong Financial skills, analytical skills, strategic planning and problem solving skills

- Advanced Excel and database management skills.

Responsibilities:

- Take a lead role in the development and finalisation of the credit risk infrastructure enhancement project plan.

- Play a key role in assembling a multi-functional project team and establishing an effective project management and oversight governance framework.

- Diligent and effective tracking of project plans against agreed timelines, working with diverse project group members made up of representatives from all Markets businesses, product specific technology functions as well as 2nd line functions including Risk.

- Identify and surface logistical issues and potential project de-railers promptly, escalate and address as required to enable project to proceed and to consistently keep within committed timelines.

- Arrange and run regular working group meetings and attend periodic senior governance forums including governance, oversight and steering groups.
