Ruby-on-Rails Technical Lead (Developer): London, 6 months FTC, competitive salaryThis company is looking for a Ruby-on-Rails developer to lead a team of other R-O-R developers to develop digital services that will help support their client to build national capacity for product safety. The scope including: product safety database such as planned work on consumers and businesses and submitting cosmetic notification portal. (Further information on these services and scope will be provided to selected candidates).The chosen specialist will help in completing in-depth work and development of new features and functionality as part of ongoing service development and iterations.The benefits include potential for working one day a week remote. You must be eligible for BPSS clearance. What technical requirements are there? You do not need all of these if you have some you will still be considered for the role.Rails 5.2 running on Ruby 2.4.3UK Paas and notifyUK registersCompanies House API for business detailsYarnSidekigClamAVPostgres 9.5Elasticsearch 6 (on AWS)Prior to the role you will have prior experience in leading and directing a team of R-O-R developers to deliver digital servicesYou will have demonstrated experience in advising on architectural design along with use of tools to ensure that efficiency and effectiveness of service is maximisedYou will have demonstrated experience in the development of responsive web applications using R-o-R in line with their tech stackPrior to the role you will have an understanding and knowledge of organisation and service design priorities so that a developer resource can be effectively deployed to deliver effective code.You will have demonstrated experience in advising on the effective use of API's and on tools that ensure services are secure and safe.
