Software Tech at Sage means giving businesses of all sizes the technology to better manage everything from money to people. As a Software Engineer here, you'll be part of a global market leader but with a very local heart. We're a FTSE 100 company with £60m of new investment into the business and £40m in the North East, over 13,000 colleagues globally and we continually give back to our local communities.

This is not a simple development role, working on Cloud Services. It's a fantastic opportunity to learn and be part of something amazing, right here in the Toon! You'll work with a team of local Tech legends, honing your skills and expertise. And as you build your talents, you'll build fantastic products too.

You'll

Work with one of the savviest teams of Tech experts in the North East

Design and develop high quality products and systems that wow customers

Work on all stages of the project lifecycle

Resolve bugs

Share your knowledge and help team mates excel

The person

We've got some brilliant people here - and of course, we want more of the same. So we'll be looking out for hands-on techies who love the thrill of solving problems. Logical, numerical and comfortable in an Agile environment, you're the kind of enthusiastic professional who gets on well with others. Our perfect Software Engineer will:

Have a degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)

Thrive on developing innovative, high quality software

Know their way around 21st century IT (Cloud, Social, IoT, Mobility etc.)

Be fluent in at least one programming language

Be up to speed on Architecture Best Practice and fundamental development concepts

The offering

This is your chance to build a belter of a career right here in Newcastle. All the development you can handle and challenges galore. That means global hackathons, a Technical Fellowship programme and five training days per year. And all this with a company that's as local as the fog on the Tyne! At our brand new state of the art office, you'll find everything you could want: coffee shops, an on-site gym and of course, cutting-edge tech... which reminds us: create something that we go on to patent and you'll get an Inventors' bonus.
