Desktop Support Engineer

Westminster, London

They are now seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to join their team in Westminster.

 

The Role

 

As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will:

 

- Support all End User Devices deployed to our client's staff

- Visit other sites as required to provide on-site support as well as remote

- Act as the first point of escalation for all technical issues

- Proactively monitor and maintain the infrastructure environment

- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of documentation and procedures

- Identify opportunities to enhance and improve the technology services

 

About You

 

Interested? To join our client as a Desktop Support Engineer, you will need:

 

- Experience of providing first- and second-line support to a Microsoft Windows-based estate, with a customer-focused approach

- Good working knowledge and understanding of fundamental IT principles

- Excellent communication skills

- The willingness to be flexible and multi-task as a member of a small team

 

You will also need knowledge of the following technologies:

 

- Windows 7 - 10

- Office 365 suite including SharePoint, Yammer and Teams

- Active Directory and Group Policy

- Sophos Anti-virus

- iOS mobile devices

- Window Server 2003 - 2016

- Automated build technologies

- Mitel phone system

 

They'd love to hear from you if you've worked as an IT Support Technician, Application Support Technician, IT Support Analyst, Technical Support Analyst, Helpdesk Analyst, Service Desk Technician, IT Support Engineer or Helpdesk Support Engineer.
