This is a new role within our Regulatory Finance Team that will support and develop financial modelling for our RIIO regulatory model, which sets price controls on the amount that monopoly network companies can earn from charges to use the networks. These price controls protect consumers' interests and help to ensure continued investment in the network infrastructure. You'll specialise in working with models, data, and technology to produce insightful and user friendly financial modelling that supports effective decision-making. This will include activities such as: running or developing network process control models; modelling the impact of changes to regulation in the sector; or visualising data-driven insight around revenue forecasts and network companies' performance. It's a fantastic opportunity to develop your expertise in a regulatory finance environment, and to contribute to initiatives that make a real difference to energy consumers. It's an opportunity that demands previous experience in financial modelling and good knowledge of data management and analytics. You should be familiar with financial, economic and accounting measures, including net present value. You'll need to bring a thorough understanding of finance theory and/or regulatory economics (including the cost of capital), and it's essential that you can make the most out of digital tools and innovation in bringing analysis to life for different audiences.
