About Us: At Westminster City Council, we want to make our city an unrivalled place of choice and aspiration, where the connections we build among our teams, our residents, our businesses and our visitors grow ever stronger. Everyone who lives, works or visits here plays their part in, and benefits from, our borough's continued success. The Role: Improving air quality creates a better life for everyone. This is a unique opportunity to make our city - and central London as a whole - a nicer and healthier place to live, work and visit by piloting and delivering a range of innovative air quality-related projects. Cross River Partnership (CRP) is a non-profit, impartial partnership organisation working to make the UK's capital city the best possible place it can be. In your role, you'll make sure the delivery of the entire CRP Healthy Streets Everyday Programme is up to scratch - working with 16 local London authorities, as well as private sector partners, including Business Improvement Districts (BIDs). In addition, you'll align the HSE Programme with other CRP projects and those led by Mayoral bodies and various London boroughs, partners and landowners. This is innovative and interesting work. You'll be leading the way in changing behaviour around air quality control, setting out a clear communication strategy from the start, and implementing effective electronic systems and processes to manage this large and complicated Programme. The role is based at our offices in Victoria and requires travel to partner premises around London. For further information please refer to the Job Description About You: We're looking for someone with programme management skills and experience, who can work with a range of public- and private-sector partners to successfully deliver innovative, multi-funded projects. You'll also need: Significant experience of managing place making and air quality projects or programmes Experience of working with the public, private and voluntary sectors in central London Experience of developing and delivering new projects, new stakeholders and new systems Experience of securing and evidencing funding, especially match funding Experience of budget management, and reporting to external funders, including the GLA and TfL. The Council and its partners are committed to achieving diverse shortlists for all vacancies at Band 4 or above to support our desire to increase the number of staff from underrepresented groups in our workforce. If you are from a black, Asian and minority ethnic background (BAME), we invite you to self-declare this to the hiring manager as part of our positive action commitments. What We Offer: This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the dynamic, motivated and diverse Cross River Partnership team. You could make a real difference to Londoners' lives in this position, by effecting long-lasting change across the City of Westminster and central London as a whole. Contract type:  Temporary until 31 March 2022
Closing date:  31 July 2019
Interview date:  15 August 2019
