Our client is a leading global IT Managed Services Provider, and due to continued expansion have the exciting opportunity for a 3rd Line Field Engineer to join their dynamic team.

You will be supporting financial services clients predominantly at client offices across Central London, including Hedge Funds and Private Equity Firms. The demand for the highest levels of support and the ability to work well under pressure both individually and as part of a support team will hold you in good stead.

THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The ideal 3rd Line Field Support Engineer will support and maintain server, desktop and/or network infrastructure for multiple high profile financial service clients. The role is a split between BAU and project work for both existing and new business clients.

THE BASICS: 

Individuals who can provide 2nd/3rd line support on desktop infrastructure and Microsoft Servers, and implement new server and desktop technologies, whilst managing implementation of hardware/software related projects will be considered.

In addition, knowledge around network technologies such as LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/P, and ability to work some out-of-hours weekend telephone support via the on-call rota is likely to result in an interview request.

THE REQUIREMENTS:

Several years demonstrable 2nd/3rd line support experience in a similar role, ideally with financial services sector exposure.

Experience working for a Managed Services Provider (MSP).

Proven detailed knowledge and experience with Microsoft Server, Active Directory & Microsoft Exchange technologies.

This role is an 8.5 hour shift (excluding meal breaks) between 7.30am and 7.30pm, Monday through Friday.
