Consulting Director of Data in Insurance/Financial Services sectors The company:Do you want to be part of a consultancy company that is continuing to strive to new heights. This company is looking to recruit a new director with specialist expertise in data architecture to provide high-level insight and expertise for both internal and external stakeholder's as part of this company's growing insurance sector. Creating high value business and IT consulting services to clients across various industries. This role will be based in London and there will be occasional travel as part of the role to various customer sites. The role and responsibilities:In this role as director for data consulting you will be working in a very much client facing environment working into the C-suite level within the sector. As part of this role you will be ensuring the delivery of high level expertise on all data related challenges for these organisations from technology, architecture, analytics, planning, workflows, design, migration and governance.You will act as the trusted advisor and provide business focused guidance on data related issues to clients and will be very much the contact for the internal senior community as the 'go to' on all data-related challenges. This opportunity allowing you to support both internal and external communities in the business at a senior leadership level.The position will be a very much visible client facing and it is important that the successful candidate has credibility In front of any stakeholders in outlining the company's propositions, converting any opportunities and carrying a consulting mind-set at all times. Requirements for the role:You will have a prior record in data (architecture)You will be coming from a consulting backgroundYou will have had recent exposure to current cloud native data and analytics platforms and will have been part of data driven digital transformation initiativesYou will have some understanding of the insurance market/Financial servicesThis company is looking for someone who can demonstrate a background in a range of technologies such as (but not all) : Azure, AWS, scalable enterprise data solutions, Big data solutions, databases, ETL workloads and related tools. The successful candidate for this role will be one who can demonstrate a practical understanding of how legacy data world is evolving alongside advancing data and analytics capabilities with changing demands supporting Data Science and ML based analytics.Clients for this company will be looking for guidance on the adaptations of data architectures.
