Project Buyer / Procurement SpecialistLeicesterPermanent Here at Cavendish Nuclear we are looking to recruit a Procurement Specialist to join our team based in Leicester. Supporting complex projects within the nuclear industry, the procurement specialist will procure parts, equipment and services with a focus on cost, performance and quality.Using your experience of delivering procurement solutions into a large organisation or engineering business, you will support the Procurement Leadership team in delivering their strategic procurement plan. You will also be involved in managing sourcing and tendering processes, developing effective procurement strategies and managing a diverse supply chain, which will include monitoring performance and leading negotiations.What do I need to do to do the role?A track record in engineering or manufacturing within a related industry sector such as nuclear, aerospace and electronics, engineering or M&E, oil and gas, plant and equipment, power and process, or transmission and distribution.The ability to interpret a technical drawing, understand the requirements and then work with our supplier to source the required parts or materialsAn understanding of end to end supplier management processesThe role would suit a skilled technician looking for a project based role or a move into supply chain / purchasing role. Lastly, you will be able to show the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment with influencing skills with key stakeholders both internally and with our customers and suppliers.What else do I need to know?The role is permanent and based from our site in Radar Road, LeicesterThe role would require some UK travel to other sites within the group and to our supply chainThe successful candidate will be required to obtain the security clearance appropriate (SC)Cavendish Nuclear is the UK's leading nuclear services company, with a highly-skilled workforce and a growing international presence.
