The role

This role will be primarily offering 3rd line desktop support to enterprise users of Microsoft windows operating systems & hardware peripherals.

You will be a team player with a flexible approach to working, also supporting site installations, moves, adds and changes (IMACS). Installation and support for network & telephony equipment.

This role is primarily based at the QinetiQ Farnborough site but working away at other sites will be required as requirements dictate. Key Accountabilities

* 3rd line desktop support to enterprise users * Building and delivery of new desktop/laptop hardware & peripheral * Supporting Audio Visual (AV) and Video Conferencing (VC) facilities * Corporate mobile devices * Managing of the helpdesk call system tickets (Resolve) * Management of DAMS (desktop asset management system) * Fault diagnosis/fix of corporate and standalone PC systems and peripherals * Remotely assist network management teams with "remote hands" for fault diagnosis/fix of the corporate data & voice networks and cabling infrastructure. * Effective working relationships with operational teams and internal customers * Ensuring compliance with QinetiQ policies, procedures and work instructions * Shadowing the Communications Team to gain broader skill set. * To undertake other duties as directed by the Team Leader

Experience & Qualifications

Knowledge of and working towards some or all of the below

* Microsoft Certified Technology Associate (MTA) or equivalent Qualifications * Comptia Network + * Comptia A+ * ITIL V3 Foundation Demonstrable IT Infrastructure knowledge including some or all of the below: * Local Area Networking * Wireless Networks * Network Equipment Rooms * AV & VC equipment Some experience of desktop support in an enterprise environment Microsoft Office applications PC, laptop and printer hardware repair Service Management Ticketing
