I am looking for a number of Senior UI Developers for an industry leading, Digital company based in Manchester.
The Role:Translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to develop web applications and componentsParticipation in user research and understanding of user needsEffectively develop in a clean, well structured, easily maintainable format producing DRY codeImprove the performance of pagesBeing a team player, up for pair programming and design reviewsWork with back-end developers to integrate templates and functionalitiesWork as an individual when needed for quick turnaround of enhancements and fixesBeing able to break down tasks and provide estimatesCommunicate effectively in both technical and business environmentsAbout the Projects
You will work across both the government and the commercial sector, on some of the most challenging and interesting projects. Your success is built on delivering quality user experiences at the time they are needed, and you will care about positive outcomes even more than the technology you build. Much of the work we do helps vulnerable people, so you will be making solutions accessible to all.
Tech and Capability: HTML5 (you write clean, valid, efficient, semantic and accessible mark-ups)Responsive Web Design (able to implement mobile first RWD)JavaScriptCSS (scalable, modular CSS, experience using pre-processors)Version Control (Git, BitBucket, etc.)Photoshop or Sketch (able to break a design down and envisage how a design might flow into different viewport sizes)Nice to haves:TDD experience (e.g. Jasmine, Karma, CasperJS or similar)MVC JavaScript frameworks experience (e.g. Angular, React, VueJS)NodeJSTasks runners (e.g. Gulp)TemplatingWireframing tools (e.g. InVision, Omnigraffle)The Company
