Research and Development Manager (Service Design) - my client, a national charity who focuses on changing lives for children and young people is looking for a Research and Development Manager (Service Design) for the development of a blended learning and engagement model combining face to face with tailored digital experiences, content, and utilities that will transform the way the Prince's Trust operates and creates impact.

The Research and Development Manager (Service Design) will be able to hit the ground running by demonstrating the following skills and experience:Understanding of a range of design methodologies ranging from design and systems thinking, to user-centered design, to open innovation and cocreationExcellent stakeholder management skills plus ability to foster and facilitate collaboration across departments and multidisciplinary teams.Excellent communication and leadership skills with a track record of leading and managing teams to deliver exceptional blended experiences.Excellent digital literacy including an understanding of how key trends including personalization and technology can drive behavior change and how the availability of digital content, toolsQualifications or extensive experience in Market Research, Marketing, Design, Psychology, Sociology or InnovationWorkshop facilitation experienceExperience working on 'tech for good' projects and channels can help transform the lives of the young people we serve'Live, learn and earn' subject matter expertise.Understanding of formal informal and informal learning styles and methodologiesAbility to design go-to-market strategies and awareness campaignsCommercial planning relating to new business models, e.g. social enterpriseConfident at problem solving, fostering innovation and driving teams to try new ways of doing thingsStrong research skills in both primary and secondary research. Experience:Ability to translate organisational strategy and user needs into a clear strategic vision which will be delivered across multiple channels and touchpointsExperience motivating and multidisciplinary teams to devise and deliver on a relevant vision which includes digitalExperience in service design; leading persona development, customer journey mapping, scenario planning and design workshopsAbility to deliver and oversee market research including competitor benchmarking and user research
