Job Title: Android Developer

Location: Glasgow

Duration: 6 months

Rate: £450 - 500 per day based on relevant experience

Our client an American multinational corporation that provides IT services, including digital, technology, consulting, and operations services are hiring.

Key responsibilities:

* Be an effective part of a team and bring ideas to the table in all aspects of the software development lifecycle.

* Willing to take on full features of a project and work closely with the team lead to identify the best approach and architecture design.

* Utilise the best tools available to verify the health status of the projects in terms of CPU usage, memory consumption, data consumption and over draws so as to provide the best UX possible.

* Be effective and well versed with version control tools such as Bitbucket and GIT.

Requirements:

* Experience developing Android applications with solid understanding of the framework, networking, user interface, API compatibility and best practices.

* Sound knowledge of both Java and Android design patterns and clean architecture and object orientation.

* Attention to detail and test driven development. Experience with both unit and instrumentation testing.

* A passion for the platform and a keen interest in upcoming changes in the OS, the tools and APIs such as material design and compatibility libraries.

* Ability to collaborate effectively and be part of the design decisions within the team, challenging ideas as appropriate.
