Data Manager / Analyst - Strategy, Change & Innovation (Chief Data Office)

Salary: £54,117 to £60,130 base salary, plus significant annual personal bonus, car allowance, 13% employer pension contribution, 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays. Want a summary of the role?

You would be responsible for supporting the delivery of key projects and initiatives across different parts of the group to drive the Enterprise Data Strategy and help realise our Group aspirations.

This will include data change related activities, carrying out key responsibilities central to data management strategy development and introducing, learning and applying innovative uses of data and technology to drive effective and new ways of doing things across the Group's data management practices.

So who are the Chief Data Office?

Lloyds Banking Group recognises that data is a significant business differentiator for financial services companies. Nowadays, across the banking industry, Data Management is receiving increased attention and focus. LBG is looking to drive a more sophisticated approach to how it handles data to support transformation and digitisation of each business and the ability to optimise interactions with its customers. The CDO is central in creating and driving this change.

The aim is to ensure overall ownership and oversight of end to end Data Management disciplines that lead to trusted, well understood data, including Data Strategy & Innovation, Data Governance, Data Quality Management, and Metadata Management.

 

What background or experience do I need to do this job?

We are interested in people who come from a variety of data backgrounds, but the minimum we would like to see includes, 1) experience across Data Management disciplines like Data Quality, Data Architecture or Metadata, 2) great communication and stakeholder management skills, 3) an appreciation of the role a chief data office carries out. As an ideal, we really find that people who come from a consultative style background fit in really well with this team.
