Data Engineer: UK wide opportunities £80,000 This company is looking for new engineers to join them UK wide. Whilst you may have any of their offices as a base location: Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Inverness, Liverpool, Manchester, Nairn, Rotherham, Treforest, Woking and Sheffield you must be fully flexible when it comes to the assignment location. As your role could involve periods of time away from home during the week at very short notice.So who will you be working with & what will you be doing?:You will be working as part of the data engineering, architecture and platform practice to help other organisations become data driven.You will help in using other companies data to converge the cloud and AI to produce true business value.You will be working with passionate and enthusiastic data engineers focusing on how to make the most of the data.The data space is ever changing and requires a myriad of skills and technologies, so you must have a desire to continue learning all of the latest technology available.You will be working on various projects and no day will be typical.You will be working on various sectors from public, retail and manufacturing to name a few.Whilst you aren't on projects you will be training, working on points of view, contributing to demo's and building along with putting work towards their blog series. So what will you need to bring to the team?:This company is looking to bring in engineers and architects, so whilst the list of skills below is particularly heavy, please get in touch even if you only have two or three.AWSGoogle cloud platformIBM cloudPython, Spark, SQLETLSoftware engineering practicesHadoopUnderstanding of data manipulation/wrangling techniquesExperience using development and deployment technologies, for instance virtualisation and managementExperience building and deploying solutions to cloudStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with clients and establish the requirements of these clients in non-technical language.Be able to translate business requirements in to suitable technical solutions to explain to other development staff.Experience with the design of analytic deliveries, planning of projects and/or leading of teams.
